Infinitely Small and Infinitely Large

I was raised in a remote and small seaside town on the Pacific Coast of Vancouver Island. As a child, I spent many hours exploring tidal pools and was fascinated at how much life existed there. I often felt like a massive giant peering into another world. As I looked up to the sky, I imagined that our whole planet was like a giant tidal pool with even bigger giants peering at us.

I’d then stare at my hands, arms, legs and feet, and think of the many trillions of cells, molecules and atoms inside my body and imagine how I must be like a giant to them. In my curiosity and wanting to understand what and who God was, I wondered if I and everyone else were cells, atoms and molecules in God’s body, the biggest giant of all.

Okay, I had a vivid imagination.
